♣March 15, 16 Irish Spring Festival, Ireland, WV 

www.angelfire.com/wv/irishspringfestival   West Virginia’s Irish road bowling “homeplace,” the heart of WV Irish road bowling.  Site of 2009 national finals. Wildcat Road to Duffy Bridge, at 2.2 miles our longest. 

In 2012, 305 road bowlers on Saturday broke all the records and again made this road bowling event in tiny Ireland, WV, the biggest in USA.

March 29 Cooper's Rock State Forest, Morgantown, WV 

Registration opens at 12:00 noon.  Bowling begins at 12:30 p.m.

April 27 Fun Bowl (no registration) bowling begins at 11:00 a.m.
April 27 Mens and Womens singles qualifiers.  Registration starts at Noon.  Qualifiers start at 1:00 p.m.

A second qualifier will be held at the Strawberry Festival near Buckhannon, May 17, 18. Top men and top women scorers from each qualifier - Pipestem and Strawberry -  advance to the West Virginia IRBA Women’s Singles State Championship, June 28,29, site TBA, or on Wildcat Road in Ireland, WV.

Located just seven miles south of Charleston, West Virginia, Kanawha State Forest is in close proximity to the heavily populated Kanawha Valley and is a recreational haven. The 9,300-acre forest is noted among naturalists for its diverse wildflower and bird populations. Rich cove forest sites provide nesting habitat for 19 species of wood warblers, a feature which draws birders from as far away as Canada.
The forest offers some of West Virginia’s best special hikes in winter, spring and fall.

One of the closer events to Pittsburgh and Washington D.C., Blackwater Falls is WV's best known landmark in a state famous for its scenery. Sign Up for this event will be the day of the Event from 9:30 to Noon at the CSRR Visitor Center.

The event will commence at 1:00 PM at Old Cass Road (County Rt. 7/1) and Route 66 intersection. Parking on opposite side of the road from entrance. Bowling will commence at Rt. 66/Old Cass Road entrance and end at approximately 1.3 miles at the end of the road at Deer Creek. (off Route 66, approximately 4 miles east of CSRR I have included a Google map copy).

Sign-Up, equipment (if you need it), and score cards will be available in the Visitor Center from 9:30 am to Noon the day of the event. If renting equipment, a $5 deposit is required.
